Get Started with Opum

    • Opum will provide handouts to help educate patients about the program.​

    • Clinic doctors and staff should share this message with patients:​
      "We are using a new Digital Knee® program through Opum to improve outcomes and provide personalized care. Patients usually find it helpful and easy to use. Opum will contact you via text and phone within the next week to explain the details and guide you through setting up the app and sensor."

    • While Opum does not provide specific required wording, your clinic's best practices can be followed.​

    • Examples of patient orders:​

      "Patient eval and treat for chronic knee pain."

      "RTM/RPM (Remote Patient Monitoring/Remote Therapeutic Monitoring) using Opum Digital Knee® for chronic knee condition."

      • Many clinics streamline this process by making it a default order automatically placed in each patient file.​

    • Sending face sheets daily is preferred for quicker follow-up and better patient buy-in.​

    • Required Information: Patient name and phone number.​

      • Preferred Information: Diagnosis (including affected limb), email, age/DOB, and payer details.​

      • Send face sheets to clinic@opumtechnologies.com.​

    • At the end of each month, Opum will email your clinic a report, including documentation of services provided and a CPT report for all active patients.​

    • Forward the provided CPT codes to your billing department for immediate submission to insurers.​

    • Opum will issue an invoice to the clinic with 60-day payment terms at this time.​
